Noah Boehm Selected to Attend The First Tee National Life Skills and Leadership Academy

Noah Boehm from The First Tee of Greater Chicago has been selected to attend The First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academy in Blaine, Minn. July 6–12. Boehm will join more than 90 junior golfers from The First Tee, ages 14–17, to participate in this national event.

Program Brings Students From the Grand Crossing Neighborhood to Harborside

For the past two months, The First Tee of Greater Chicago has worked with a group of students from Hirsch Metro High School in the Grand Crossing neighborhood. The partnership stems from a Get In Chicago Grant that afforded TFTGC funding to transport students from the high school to Harborside International twice a week, where they were exposed to a unique program that not only introduced them to the game of golf, but also life-skills and coping methods that can assist them in regards to violence prevention and conflict resolution.
