Life Skills Experience Program Volunteers:

The Life Skills Experience (LSE) program is our core program where youth learn life skills and healthy habits while also learning golf.  This program is only available in the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

* Assistant Coach:  This position is great for individuals who want to help teach golf and life skills at one our program locations.  Please note golf experience is preferred and the minimum level of time commitment is half of the classes for the session they choose to help.  A session is typically once or twice a week for 6 to 10 weeks.

*LSE General Volunteer – This volunteer position is great for people whose schedules do not allow them to be Class Assistant / Golf Instruction Volunteers, but still want to help at a specific location.  They are our go to group when we need extra hands on certain days, for example our kick-off and awards parties, and when we have special presentations. They may also be assigned to help keep our bulletin boards up-to-date and promotional materials stocked.

Special Events Volunteers: Volunteers are needed to provide various levels of assistance with golf tournaments, annual fundraisers, and other special events. Volunteer duties may include helping to set up events, distributing flyers and information, serving food and beverages, and more. Volunteers are needed year round and scheduling varies with each event.

Communications Volunteers: This position is great for creative and outgoing individuals who want to help expand the reach and story of The First Tee of Greater Chicago. Volunteers will assist the communications committee with marketing, advertising, public relations, outreach, and social media.  These volunteers can be assigned to a specific program and/or LSE program location, event, or to general communications.  They also can do a specific communication jobs such as editing, graphic design or photography.  Volunteers are scheduled on an as needed basis.

Ambassador’s Council & Society: The Ambassador’s Council & Society is a group of young professionals who have a passion for golf and desire to give back to the game they love.  They support The First Tee of Greater Chicago in several ways:  As advocates for the Chapter, by fundraising, hosting events, and volunteering at program sites and more.  It’s a great group of people and good networking opportunity.  Please contact Lisa Quinn for more info.
